A versatile North American hardwood with a coarse texture, known for its strength and workability. Kiln-dried for stability and reduced defects, it is ideal for furniture, flooring, doors, and interior finishing. Perfect for decorative and carpentry projects where appearance matters.
Kiln drying timber delivers a uniform product with consistent moisture levels. Once inside the kiln temperature, humidity, and airflow are carefully controlled to quickly reduce the moisture content of the timber to its optimum level on a species-by-species basis, avoiding moisture-related problems like warping and buckling. You can typically expect to find fewer defects in kiln dried timber.
Our standard branch deliveries arrive within 5 working days. Our standard delivery rate is £36 (inc. VAT). Click & Collect is always free. If your basket includes items requiring a transfer, this may add 1–2 weeks to the delivery time, as your entire order will be shipped together.
