The Wood Awards

Arnold Laver are proud to support the Wood Awards, whose aim is to recognise, encourage and promote outstanding design, craftsmanship and installation in wood and wood products.

The Wood Awards: Excellence in British Architecture and Product Design has now launched its 2019 call for entries. Architects and designers from around the United Kingdom are invited to enter their UK - based wood projects. Co-sponsored by TRADA, the Awards are free to enter.

TRADA – Urban Buzz 2018

Arnold Laver were a lead-sponsor in the TRADA Urban Buzz 2018 competition. Where 48 students from 24 Universities were brought together with the challenge of designing a ‘future-proof’ car park, using timber as the main construction material.

This initiative was backed by several large Companies including Arup and BuroHappold, and even received backing from renowned designer and TV presenter, Kevin McCloud.            

Eldwick Hawks Juniors Football Club

Arnold Laver are proud kit sponsors of the team for the 2017-18 season.


Wakefield Jets Junior Football Club

Established in 2002 to provide Qualified Coaching and Junior Football for children in the Outwood and wider Wakefield area.

The Sheffield Children's Hospital

For 2017 we are supporting The Sheffield Children’s Hospital and we are hoping to raise money for this great cause through planned staff events throughout the year.

Although based in Sheffield, The Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is a national charity and one of only four dedicated children’s hospital trusts in the UK. It provides integrated healthcare for children and young people from across Britain, including community and mental health care as well as acute and specialist services.



Industrial Centre of Excellence (ICE)

Arnold Laver is a founding partner in the ICE project, which is a scheme to develop an Industrial Centre of Excellence in the Built Environment for Bradford, which works with local educational establishments.
This exciting initiative is designed to deliver ‘job ready’ young people, who possess the necessary skills and experience - as well as the energy and enthusiasm - for today’s demanding employer.

Timber Engineering MSc course at Edinburgh Napier University

Arnold Laver were the first company to sign up to Edinburgh Napier University’s Timber Engineering MSc as scholarship funders.

The Timber Engineering MSc course is run by the Centre for Timber Engineering, led by Professor Abdy Kermani, and lasts a year.

Material donation

Bingley Music Festival

Supporting Bradford Council through the supply of timber and sheet materials for the construction of on-site facilities at Myrtle Park in Bingley.


Lakeview Monkey Sanctuary

We were happy to donate some softwood treated timber (6m roofing struts) to the Lakeview Enclosure Monkey Sanctuary.

The Lakeview Monkey Sanctuary helps alleviate the suffering of primates by providing a safe and permanent home in as natural an environment as possible.

Food Hall Cafe

We were proud to be able to supply 30 x 18mm OSB boards to help with this Temporary Public Installation project.

The Food Hall Cafe is a unique open kitchen and dining area in Sheffield city centre which provides meals to everyone in the community on a donation basis.
