PEFC and FSC® Certification
We also strive to meet and where possible exceed the applicable environmental legislation. We strongly believe that it is our corporate and social responsibility to help preserve the world forests and promote effective forestry management.
We offer a range of PEFC and FSC® Certified timber products and are able to consistently provide goods from legal and sustainable sources.
All Arnold Laver branches have Chain of Custody implemented, independently evaluated and certified to provide our customers with environmental assurances.
Our certified timber products meet the UK Government CPET approved timber procurement policy – through the following certification schemes:
Environmental Certification
FSC®
Forest Stewardship Council® – An international forest certification scheme recognised as proof of legal and sustainable product origin. The FSC does this by setting standards on forest products, along with certifying and labeling them as eco-friendly.
PEFC
Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification – The worlds largest resource, it assesses and endorses national forest certification schemes against a set of internationally agreed criteria for sustainable forest management.
TTF
Timber Trade Federation (TTF) – Responsible Timber Purchaser. Arnold Laver & Co has in place a Due Diligence System meeting the standards of the TTF’s Responsible Timber Purchasing Process.
ISO 14001
UKAS is the only government recognized accreditation body in the UK to measure certification bodies against internationally recognized standards, ensuring the certification body is fit for purpose. CATG is a UKAS accredited certification body for ISO 14001 Environmental management systems certification.
ISO 9001
UKAS is the only government recognized accreditation body in the UK to measure certification bodies against internationally recognized standards, ensuring the certification body is fit for purpose. CATG is a UKAS accredited certification body for ISO 9001 Quality management systems certification including National Highway Sector Schemes certification.
