What is Composite Cladding?

Composite cladding is a synthetic alternative to timber, formed by combining materials to create a product similar to timber in appearance with a more reliable and consistent outcome.

A mixture of recycled plastics and timber offcuts make composite an environmentally sustainable option, and the durability and low-maintenance nature of the product means little to no upkeep is required to keep the finish looking fresh.

Design is at the forefront of many cladding projects, and while timber cladding’s numerous wood stains and finishes are useful for creating one-of-a-kind facades, over time these may begin to take on an uneven grey appearance. However, the makeup of composite cladding ensures that the finish will continue to look as good as it did the day it was installed for years to come.

Created with function in mind, composite cladding will absorb less water than timber cladding, will not warp in the heat or wet weather, will not rot, or splinter, and is not susceptible to termites or other pests that may plague wooden products.

Applications of Composite Cladding

No matter the size or location of your project, it’s worth considering composite cladding. Applications include residential, commercial, industrial, modular and garden buildings. Straightforward to install and easy to maintain, composite cladding creates instant curb appeal, with a natural appearance that lasts and lasts.

With the various shades of composite cladding available, it’s easy to find a finish that complements existing structures on your land – composite is perfectly suited for smaller buildings such as extensions, garden gyms and offices as well as larger projects like homes and commercial developments.

It’s worth thinking beyond external walls too, use composite cladding as screen fencing to add privacy to a garden, with the soundproofing characteristics particularly beneficial for busy streets in urban areas. Sturdier than a traditional timber fence, a composite screen fence will also increase garden security while keeping out unwanted noise.
