With the second wave of the pandemic affecting the country this autumn, we’re working hard to ensure our customers, our onsite staff and our brilliant teams delivering to you, are protected themselves and in turn keep you safe whether that’s face to face or on arrival at your location. Our depots are fully operational and open, and we look forward to welcoming you.  In addition, mindful of our timber being delivered to your sites, our teams are fully aware of social distancing with appropriate training on delivery and receipt of Arnold Laver products – wherever you are, and whatever the conditions on your site. Our stock is up to date, so our click & collect systems are also working smoothly.

100 years of Trading

The original Arnold Laver who started his business in the 1920s selling timber from a cart in Sheffield, may never have predicted this current situation, but he adapted to change as we continue to do. The fact we’re nimble in our business, our products and our service, and we keep up to speed on national Covid-19 guidance, means we are at the forefront of customer safety and Covid-19 awareness. Life needs to continue and we’re here to help maintain the momentum of any project on which you might embark or continue.

Hoardings for Private Builds

As for smaller, private builds, we’ve all seen those new building programmes and discreet hoardings give a professional finish to an unfinished project. Even if you’re build is much smaller, hoardings are a great way to maintain security and keep your local community happy ahead of the big reveal. If there’s a lull in your building project, your dreams are more secure behind a hoarding and your site remains private. Smart Stuff

We work with Smartply OSB.  Hoardings are coated with a tough weather resistant coating for short or longer build requirements, and conform to the requirements of EN 300 and EN 13986. The Smartply OSB is ideal for private build projects and shorter term hoarding requirements. Need a step up from the OSB? Then the SmartPly OSB3 is ideal for environments where there is greater humidity and the SmartPlay OSB4 is a high performance engineered wood panel suitable for the most demanding structural applications in offsite manufacturing and construction.
