Forest Garden
Did you know that we’re one of the UK’s main suppliers of Forest Garden products? Well now that you have that little acorn of information in your head, you probably want to know who and what Forest Garden is; time to read on.
The company has been the UK’s leading and most trusted manufacturer and distributor of quality wooden garden products for more than 50 years, and operates from two sawmills; one in Lockerbie and the other at Clows Top, in Worcestershire, not far from its head office.
The sawmills use locally sourced timber and are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council meaning that its products carry the FSC logo, so you’ll know that the wood is ethically supplied from well-managed, sustainable forests that are replanted for future generations.
Forest Garden’s product line includes fencing, gates, trellises and planters, along with summerhouses, greenhouses, sheds and seating; pretty much everything to satisfy your clients’ needs to make their gardens an extension to their home; a space to escape to and to entertain in. Think of your clients’ gardens as a canvas; it’s a chance for them to make a statement and introduce stunning features and focal points that will bring the space to life in a contemporary style.
Clients will love our timber-framed arches and arbours, pergolas and gazebos because they are the perfect way to introduce unique and decorative shapes to their gardens; while summerhouses help create a little piece of quiet.
Get them to imagine themselves surrounded with climbing plants and flowers with an arbour, or create a beautiful gateway to a secret garden with our range of arches.
Introducing an arbour or arch into a garden is a simple and effective way to add a touch of classic design and create a unique focal point that will encourage climbing flowers and plants to grow naturally.
Our Whitby arbour lends a nod to the iconic whalebones arch overlooking Whitby’s seafront in North Yorkshire (if you’ve never visited you really should). The arbour has a generous 1.4m wide bench, which is hinged to allow the storage of outdoor items, and features posts with an extended curved section that can only be achieved by using carefully cut and laminated timber.
We also have a Whitby arch, again based on the whalebones above, and as with all our arches it has extended legs allowing them to be sunk into the ground. But if your clients are big into barbequing then our combined garden BBQ and shelter is the perfect space for al fresco cooking.
Its wide rails offer space for prepping and plates, while a unique roof vent provides greater ventilation of smoke, and the fire retardant finish will protect it from wayward flames.
For a bit more protection from the elements, and we don’t just mean summer rain we’re also talking the sun’s rays, then our range of pergolas and gazebos add a touch more protection; and our Venetian pavilion has a uniquely designed roof structure which lets light in but keeps the showers out.
Our range of summerhouses (see our previous blog post ‘summer house or shed‘) ensure that whatever size of garden you have to play with we can offer your clients a perfectly fitted solution, whether it’s a snug corner or a lovely little sun spot, there are plenty of designs to help you create a quiet space for your customers to relax and enjoy their garden, whatever the weather.
The Oakley summerhouses are packed with features, including a fully-glazed front with deep three-quarter length windows and double doors, while the Cranbourne range is manufactured from dip treated shiplap timber and includes shatter-resistant styrene glazing.
Whatever your clients’ requirements, we’re confident that we have everything possible to satisfy their needs, and with a Forest Garden product from Arnold Laver summer needn’t last only a few months because with the right solution spring can be summer just as autumn can also be summer!
