Coatsworth Road,

Gateshead

Completed in early 2018, this project was a local Regeneration Initiative that was funded by Gateshead Council. It involved renovating existing facades of flats, shops and business premises located along Coatsworth Road in Gateshead. The project was overseen and coordinated by a Gateshead Council Conservation Officer who ensured the facades were constructed to reflect the original designs.

Gateshead Joinery were contracted by Wentworth Construction to manufacture and install all external joinery products to the project. The Architectural design for the project was designed by Crawford Higgins Associates, based in Northumberland.

Gateshead Joinery manufactured all the shopfronts, traditional sash windows and external doors using Sapele Hardwood with Tricoya. External grade MDF was used to create panels and signage boards, along with traditional ironmongery.

All joinery products were supplied fully finished from Gateshead Joinery using period colours to replicate the early Victorian period.
