TDUK’s mission is to:

The Modular Portable Building Association (MPBA)

The Modular Portable Building Association (MPBA) is the voice of the modular industry, championing modern methods of construction since 1938. Founded in 1938, MPBA play a key role in connecting all sectors of the modular and portable building industry. Regardless of the size and type of business, by becoming an MPBA member a Company will join an association with many other professionals which will open the door to various opportunities and add significant value.

HTA & APL

The Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) is the trade association for the UK garden industry. It is dedicated to helping develop the industry and its member businesses, including most garden centres and other garden retailers, growers, landscapers, manufacturers and suppliers.

The Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) was formed to help consumers make an informed choice. Established in 1995, the APL, is a specialist group of the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA), and represents landscapers who have met a required standard of professionalism.

NBS

NBS is an integrated global platform for everyone involved in the design,
supply and construction of the built environment.

Over 73% of UK architects use NBS to write their specifications. Together, they make over 13.6m decisions per month within the NBS platform.

NBS partners with a wide range of like-minded organisations to help drive the industry forward with one voice, ensure standardisation in guidance and seamless integration between complementary platforms.

The British Laminate Fabricators Association

The British Laminate Fabricators Association offers an “assured source of supply” for fabricated components using high pressure decorative laminate. The BLFA has been established for more than 40 years and is the only recognised trade association representing the laminate fabrication industry in the UK and promoting best working practice among specifiers and fabricators.

The British Woodworking Federation

The BWF is predominantly a business support organisation. They offer advice, support and wood industry information to their members as well as guidance for customers who use, or specify, their members’ products and services.

BWF-Certifire

All participating members of the BWF-CERTIFIRE Fire Door and Doorset Scheme are rigorously assessed and audited, providing specifiers with the added security and confidence in the products being selected.

CATG

Certification and Timber Grading (CATG) is one of the UK’s leading timber and construction certification and notification bodies, accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service.

EXOR

EXOR has worked with thousands of suppliers, from small to large, to ensure they are compliant and help them win business. exor also supports public and private sector organisations with a range of services that assist them in making informed supplier choices.

FORS

The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a voluntary accreditation scheme encompassing all aspects of safety, fuel efficiency, vehicle emissions and improved operations. FORS helps fleet operators to measure and monitor performance and alter their operations in order to demonstrate best practices.

Grown in Britain

Grown in Britain brings together everyone who values forests, woods and trees and the products that can be made from the wood they produce. It is an incredibly positive movement that is bringing together environmentalists, contractors and woodland managers.

The Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining

The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) is a major UK engineering institution whose activities encompass the whole materials cycle, from exploration and extraction, through characterisation, processing, forming, finishing and application, to product recycling and land reuse. It exists to promote and develop all aspects of materials science and engineering, geology, mining and associated technologies, mineral and petroleum engineering and extraction metallurgy, as a leading authority in the worldwide materials and mining community.

The Mayor of London’s Green Procurement Code

The Mayor of London’s Green Procurement Code is a support service for organisations committed to reducing their environmental impact through responsible purchasing. They provide practical advice and online resources to help embed green purchasing into all aspects of an organisation, including sourcing green products.

Timber Decking & Cladding Association

The Timber Decking and Cladding Association (TDCA) is an independent organisation. They are a technical and advisory body that operates on a not for profit basis. They provide guidance on how to correctly select, specify and use timber that is used to construct decks and cladding.

The Timber Trade Federation (TTF)

The Timber Trade Federation is growing the use of wood through innovative industry representation and growing business support for its members. The TTF is regularly consulted by Government, NGOs and sister organisations on issues affecting the wood industry and is helping to shape a successful future for its members.

The Governing Boards of the Timber Trade Federation (TTF) and Timber Research and Development Association (TRADA) have announced the formal and legal completion of a merger to form a new entity, Timber Development UK (TDUK).

TRADA

The Timber Research and Development Association (TRADA) is an internationally recognised centre of excellence on the specification and use of timber and wood products. TRADA is a company limited by guarantee and not-for-profit membership-based organisation. TRADA’s origins go back over 70 years and its name is synonymous with independence and authority. Its position in the industry is unique with a diverse membership encompassing companies and individuals from around the world and across the entire wood supply chain, from producers, merchants and manufacturers, to architects, engineers and end users.

Transport for London

Transport for London is the local government body responsible for most aspects of the transport system in Greater London in England. Its role is to implement the transport strategy and to manage transport services across London.

Wood for Good

Wood for Good believe that wood should be considered as the first choice material for all building projects and would like to see planning guidance amended to encourage greater timber construction in all publicly funded new-build and refurbishment projects.
