Arnold Laver hand directorship to successful branch manager
Arnold Laver Timber World has promoted manager Barry Stimpson to executive director.
Barry is in charge of Arnold Laver's Reading depot on Basingstoke Road, which employs more than 30 people.
Barry became branch manager at Reading in 2005 and will remain responsible for the continued success of the timber depot, which is set to launch a new joinery showroom later this year.
The 37-year-old joined Arnold Laver as softwood sales manager ten years ago after initially starting his career as a trade counter assistant at Jewsons.
Barry from Reading said: "The promotion is in recognition of the branch success and the excellent team ethics we have established here at Arnold Laver.
"I am very proud to have worked my way up from the trade counter all the way to directorship. It's an indication that staff at the company do get rewarded and recognised for their hard-work."

Reading's new joinery showroom will include a number of samples from key suppliers of doors and windows to Arnold Laver.
Barry added: "We have refurbished what was an un-used part of the depot to create an additional sales area displaying products from manufacturers. It will be an opportunity to expand our services and products to both the trade and public in the Reading area."
